ATTENTION RESIDENTS, BAD GUYS ARE LURKING ABOUT IN OUR AREA !!

Due to the harsh economic times throughout Miami-Dade County including Bonita Lakes, the burglaries are becoming more frequent. Therefore, we suggest that before you leave your residence that you take a few minutes to make sure your house is secure. Make sure all your windows and doors are locked including the garage door and door between the garage and kitchen. If you have an alarm, make sure it is activated. Security begins at home. You and your neighbors are best suited to keep your neighborhood safe. Make sure you call the police department if you see any activity that seems suspicious.

Consider adding the following: Alarm sign for your front planting area; overnight garden lighting; carriage lights at the garage area; overnight porch lighting; padlock on your side fence gate. Lighting is the single greatest deterrent to crimes on residence.

Test your alarm every few months. Call your alarm company and let them know, then deliberately enter without disabling it to see if it goes off and communicates with the alarm company.

It is required that you update your contact information and entry gate access information. Due to a software change at the Security Department, this information may be out of date.

Due to our Security access system crashing, we have recently installed a new security access software at the main gate to replace the damaged software. However, as the new information was installed, we have noticed that many of our residents info. has been erased. In order to correct this, please fill out the attached owner/ tenant registration form and either bring to the Management office (inside the clubhouse), email it to us at bonitalakes@bellsouth.net, fax to 305-253-9927 or drop off at the Security guardhouse. We apologize for the inconvenience and will appreciate your full cooperation as soon as possible.
